Zalla Will Lead Landor's Newly Created Global Consumer Branding Practice

Jacobs joins Landor from WPP-sister company FITCH, succeeding Mary Zalla, who has stepped down. Zalla will lead Landor's newly created global consumer branding practice, in addition to her role as managing director for the Chicago and Cincinnati offices.

Jacobs has led global retail and branding consultancy FITCH since 2009. While there, she worked on a variety of assignments for brands and retailers. Clients included Dell, Target, Nokia, and Marks & Spencer. She also transformed the business into a global and integrated network and opened new offices in Beijing, Delhi, and Moscow.

Prior to joining FITCH, Jacobs was president international for Jack Morton Worldwide, the Interpublic owned experiential marketing agency. There she created the firm's public events practice, responsible for the production of two Olympic ceremonies and several New Year's Eve events designed to brand major cities.

Jacobs commented, "Landor is one of the benchmark consultancies and I'm both delighted and honoured to be appointed chief executive. I look forward to working with the firm's leadership across the network to find new and interesting ways to expand our service offer and add value to our clients' business."

Jacobs, who will split her time between the UK and US, will be in a co-chief executive role with Zalla until the end of the year.
