Shell Chemicals recently took its newest product, GTL solvents, to the 2015 European Coatings Show in Nuremburg, Germany. Shell’s GTL solvents are next generation, high purity paraffinic fluids based on innovative gas-to-liquids technology. This technology may enhance various performance properties over conventional solvents in paints and coatings formulations.
In the paints and coatings industry, customers choose Shell GTL solvents due to their reduced environmental impact, high purity level, low odor and synthetic composition. Shell’s GTL solvents work well in alkyd paint formulations and result in lower odor, a better controlled drying time, improved rheology and eco-labelling – just a few of the features today’s manufacturers seek most highly.
