Arkansas-based Tyson Foods has issued a recall of approximately 52,486 pounds of its chicken wing products which may have been contaminated due to repulsive odour.

They carry the 'best if used by' dates 24 October 2015 and 25 October 2015. The tainted products carry date codes of "2975PBF05" or "2985PBF05.

The alleged product bears the establishment number 'P-13456' which is present inside the USDA inspection mark and also on the back of the package above the heating instructions. The products were shipped to retailers across the nation.

The company has urged consumers who have purchased the product not to consume them. They are advised to either discard the product or return it at the place of purchase.
