Heatgenie Has Received a LOI From a European Food and Beverage Brand

Self-heating technology developer in the US, HeatGenie has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from a European food and beverage brand to license the technology and purchase up to five million self-heating packages.

According to the company, the specific terms with regard to the announcement are still in negotiation and the European brand is not being identified.

HeatGenie has sold small quantities of heated packages to the US Army till date, for evaluation and built the heaters in their Austin laboratory.

The self-heating packaging component for use in food and beverage products, HeatGenie integrates into the bottom of the package and heats a 10oz portion of coffee, hot chocolate or soup to 145 °F in a couple of minutes, with the simple push of a button.

HeatGenie vice president business development Rosemary Whaling commenting on the order said, "HeatGenie can now finalize negotiations with its large scale manufacturing and packaging partners to bring this game-changing technology to the consumer packaged goods industry."
