iEnergy Introduces Own-Brand Second-Generation Micro-Inverter

Taiwan-based iEnergy has launched own-brand second-generation micro-inverters for use in 245-250W PV modules made of P-type polycrystalline silicon solar cells with energy conversion rates of 19-20%, according to the company.

There are three sales channels for the micro-inverters: PV system installation undertakers, regional PV module makers and DIY retail stores, Energy said. For DIY retail stores, iEnergy is talking about cooperation with IKEA particularly for retail sale in the Europe market.

The micro-inverter is mainly used in rooftop PV systems in the Europe and Australia markets, iEnergy indicated.

iEnergy said it plans to launch third-generation micro-inverters in second-quarter 2015, with the model suitable for use in 280W PV modules made of N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cells.
