Andre Fu launched his Skyliner bath collection at Maison&Objet Asia
Showcasing very best of design in Asia-Pacific region, MAISON&OBJET ASIA was held from March 8 to 11, 2016. André Fu was named as the 2016 Designer of the Year. Fu launched his new brand called André Fu Living (AFL), a lifestyle range that embodies his design philosophy within tangible objects.
As part of the AFL line, André Fu launched Skyliner, an artisanal bath collection designed in collaboration with luxury bath brand, Cooper & Graham. The Skyliner collection is wholly original, an embodiment of modern artisanship, with a distinct personality and spirit.
Fu said, “The realisation of the collection is heavily rooted in its balance of proportions and more importantly, a understated purist quality. Particular attention has also been given to refine the edging and detailing of the fixtures with a view to illustrate the underlying pursuit of a collection that is bold visually, yet refined in experience.”
Skyliner seeks to embrace the spirit of modern Asian cities – tactile, fresh, bold, contemporary, relaxed luxury – a paradigm about urbanity. The inspirations have been interpreted as a series of pure forms that interlock, akin to the contemporary building forms. They are interlocking sculptures. The collection is a perfect marriage of art, form and function.
