Zip-Pak Will Open a New Manufacturing Facility to Expand Technical and Consulting Services

Global company engaged in resealable solutions and equipment Zip-Pak is set to open a new manufacturing facility in São Paulo, Brazil. The plant will expand technical and consulting services to customers in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.

The full production of the company's full line of resealable closures is expected to begin in early 2013. The company will reduce its environmental footprint by shipping freight shorter distances to reach Latin American customers, besides eliminating duties and taxes for local customers.

Zip-Pak business manager for Latin America Perry Malik said the initiation of local production and warehousing operations will support the local economy while enhancing Latin American customer's experiences with the company's brand of resealable solutions.

"The expansion in South America will enable Zip-Pak to continue providing innovative packaging solutions to an important global market," Malik said.

Zip-Pak machinery, material, and package design experts can offer ongoing consultation and field service to its Latin American customers through the Brazil location, while local field technicians will also provide added value to potential customers by offering consultation on ways brands can retrofit production lines to incorporate resealable packaging.
