New Dressing for Difficult-to-Heal Wounds Is Launched by Eo2 Concepts

Advanced wound care technology company EO2 Concepts has introduced a new dressing for the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds.

Designed to complement and enhance the company's TransCu O2 tissue oxygenation system, OxySpurOxygen Diffusion Dressing uses a moisture absorbent bandage to evenly diffuse oxygen to the wound and provide the effective environment for healing.

The dressing also enables wound patients, their families and caregivers to benefit from the oxygen therapy with the convenience of using at their own homes, according to the company.

EO2 Concepts president Joe Moffett said, "The development of OxySpur is an important step in transforming the current treatment of wound care and lowering costs within our healthcare system."

The company said the new dressing is available in North and South Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Arizona, Chicago, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana, US.

TransCu O2, which provides a continuous supply of low-flow pure oxygen to treat various lower limb wound types such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers, has proven effective in treating chronic wounds.
