Napoli Foods Has Completed The Installation of a Solar Power Plant at Its Site in Cheshire

Napoli Foods, a US-based foodservice distributor, has completed the installation of a solar power plant at its site in Cheshire, Connecticut.

The 860kW solar photovoltaic system was provided by Dynamic Energy Solutions, which managed engineering, procurement and construction works.

It involved installation of a roof-mounted, ballasted array comprising over than 2,900 solar panels.

The new solar system, with an expected production capacity of 1,095,000kWh per year, would allow the food supplier to effectively eliminate 773 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

Napoli Foods vice president Michael Cipriano said, "We see our participation in this program as a win-win for our company, the state and, most importantly, the environment.

"Dynamic provided sound advice, delivered detailed technical information and equipment options and had expert installation teams complete the project on time and on budget."

Being one of the largest roof-mounted solar arrays in Connecticut, the solar project takes part in the Connecticut Light and Power Company's (CL&P) Low and Zero Emissions Renewable Energy Credit Program.

Napoli carries food and non-food products used within the foodservice industry, and caters to the needs of regional pizzerias, delicatessens, food stores, and restaurants, as well as the large-scale demands of distributors and manufacturers.
