Through the partnership, Ann gives clients the opportunity to donate gently worn clothing and accessories shipped in any box for free.

According to an Ann press release, participating in the Give Back Box is simple as consumers just need to download and print a free label from its website.

Consumers then can use the box they received from any Ann purchase or any other box on hand, to pack their donations and then attach the label to the box and ship for free via UPS.

Ann said that since launching the program with Give Back Box in January, more than 2,800 items have been donated with an estimated weight of more than 2,000 pounds.

“Not only does the program reduce waste through donations, it also encourages clients to reuse e-commerce packaging,” Ann observed.

According to Give Back Box, 12 million boxes are shipped by online retailers to consumers every day, totaling approximately to 30 million tons of cardboard a year.

Through the program, clients are also able to reuse their boxes to send donations, after which ‘Give Back Box’ will also ensure proper recycling or reuse of each box.

"As a company dedicated to women and their causes, we are thrilled to partner with ‘Give Back Box’ to give clients a convenient way to donate gently used clothes and accessories," said Ann Inc CEO, Kay Krill.

Krill added, "This partnership furthers our longstanding commitment to reducing our environmental impact while benefiting local communities."
