King's Vegetarian Is Recalling Dim Sum Products Due to The Presence of Wheat

Canadian establishment King's Vegetarian Food Manufacturing is recalling dim sum products due to the presence of wheat, soy, sesame and sulphites which are not mentioned on the label.

The products subject to the recall include H.K. BBQ Buns, Dumplings, Wheat Veggie Buns, Vegetable Buns, Spring Rolls, Sticky Rice Wrap, Redbean Buns, Barbeque Buns, and Curry Buns, which are sold under the brand name King's Vegetarian.

The recalled products also include Kuan Tzu Tsai Vegetarian Food's Vegetarian Five Grains Rice Dumpling, Vegetarian Sticky Rice Dumpling, Fried Gluten, and an assorted vegetarian platter.

These recalled products were distributed across Alberta, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

No illnesses have bee reported associated with the recalled product.

The CFIA is verifying whether the industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.

Consumption of the recalled products may cause illness in people allergic to wheat, soy or sesame or a sensitivity to sulphites.
