INTERNET radio service Pandora has chosen Jane Huxley as Sydney-based managing director for Australia and New Zealand -- and its first employee in the region.
Huxley brings more than 20 years of relevant experience in digital media, technology and consumer markets to the role.
Most recently, she spent five years at the helm of Digital for Fairfax Media, leading product, mobile, video and online business strategies and driving growth in the business.
Earlier, she held director-level roles in telecommunications and spent more than 15 years with Microsoft.
Pandora has just launched in Australasia, with its founder, Tim Westergren, meeting users in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.
Pandora is a personalised internet music service that boasts a database of over 100,000 artists. It can be accessed via smartphone apps for iOS and Android devices, in addition to the web-based player.
