Nissan is planning to recall around 470,000 sport utility vehicles and cars globally over issues related to a possible fuel leak.

Reuters cited a document posted by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) which claimed that fuel pressure sensors in the affected vehicles might not have been tightly fitted during production, which could result in fuel leak due to heat and vibration which could cause fire.

The car maker claims that it has not received any reports regarding accidents or injuries related to the issue.

The vehicles affected in the US includes model year 2012-2014 of Nissan Juke SUVs, 2012-2013 Infiniti M56, 2014-2015 Infiniti Q70 sedans , QX56 SUVs, and QX80 SUVs.

According to reports, Nissan Juke, Serena, Patrol, X-Trail, Tilda, and Pulsar models will be affected by the recall in Japan, Latin America, China, Europe, and the Middle East.
