New company Pomolumi will supply luxury toy packages to airport passenger facility service provider

Pomolumi was set up half a year ago by 43-year-old former furniture designer Lilli Henson. It brings together different firms' products, such as BrainBox, Nanoblock and Top Trumps – from suppliers like Marbel and Brainstorm – and bundles them together into kids' activity packs under one brand: Pomolumi.

Fayair opened at London Stansted Airport earlier this year. The £19 million 35,000 square foot facility belongs to former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed. It features a passenger lounge, gym, a children's entertainment section, aircraft handling area and more.

However, the £100 luxury toy packs for Fayair are not the usual product that Pomolumi provides.

"I launched with the sole aim of keeping kids off computer games by providing them with interesting activities they can do on their own," Pomolumi founder Lilli Henson told ToyNews.

"We focus on art and crafts and construction toys."

The Pomolumi website sells a host of packs, priced from £12.95 to £16.95, direct to consumers. A percentage of profit made from the charity packs goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Pomolumi is targeting other airlines, travel facilities and other firms going forwards. It is also calling on more toy suppliers to get involved.
