Plum Baby Foods Is Voluntarily Recalling Some Ready-to-Eat Baby Food Products

Plum Baby Foods, a UK-based organic food company, is voluntarily recalling some ready-to-eat baby food products due to a packaging defect that could potentially cause pouches to swell or spoil, The Food Standards Agency announced.

Affected products include Blueberry, Parsnip & Buckwheat 100g; Plum, Strawberry & Barley 100g; Courgette, Banana & Amaranth 100g; Mango & Carrot Greek Style Yogurt 85g; Raspberry & Spinach Greek Style Yogurt 85g; Kale & Apple Greek Style Yogurt 85g.

These products feature the best before date codes up to and including 2 October 2014.

The withdrawal includes the affected products from consumers, all of which were launched on 4 November and recalled on 8 November, while no other Plum Baby Food products are known to be affected.

Notices regarding the product recall have been displayed in the Tesco stores where they were sold, and the barcode of the affected products blocked.

Consumers are advised not to consume any of the recalled products, and return it to the place of purchase.
