Woolworths Recalled Chilled Vegetable Products Nationally Over Metal Contamination

Woolworths, an Australian retailer, has recalled chilled vegetable products nationally over metal contamination, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

The products associated with the recall include 225g resealable plastic pouches of Macro Vegetarian Roasted Vegetable, Split Pea & Spinach Bites with all best before dates up to and including 29 April 2013.

These products were distributed in Woolworths Supermarkets, Safeway, Food for Less, and Flemings Supermarkets across the nation.

Consumption of products contaminated with foreign matter such as metal fragments may cause injury. Consumers who have purchased the above mentioned products are requested to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
