Wei Chih Steel Has Developed Alloy Steel Bars with Specified Hardenability Bands

Wei Chih Steel, one of the electric furnace mills in Taiwan announced recently that it has developed alloy steel bars with specified hardenability bands by the requests of JIS G4052 specification successfully. The actual available grades that Wei Chih Steel can supply are JIS G4052 SCM 415H, 420H and 440H. According to understanding, this alloy steel bar have to match very high technical requests and it owns the advantages of very high and firm quality control which are mainly used to be produced in blast furnace mills. In Taiwan, China Steel Corp. used to be the only mill that can guarantee its quality and supply the alloy steel bar to the market. Now, Wei Chih Steel has tried to get into this market by cheaper selling price. Moreover, this news has even pushed Japanese and Korean mills to pay attention on it.
