AkzoNobel and McLaren Extend Partnership to Develop and Create Colors Range

AkzoNobel and McLaren Automotive have extended their partnership to develop and create colors range for McLaren Super Series, Ultimate Series and Sports Series cars.

AkzoNobel Extends Deal to Supply Coatings for McLaren Cars

The companies have been working together over the past five years.

Under the terms of the deal, AkzoNobel will continue to provide coatings and paint solutions for McLaren vehicles as a technical partner.

McLaren Automotive CEO Mike Flewitt said: "We have a close relationship with each of our technical partners and suppliers to ensure every component is optimized.

"The relationship with AkzoNobel is key to presenting every car at its best, working together to produce a range of striking colors that showcase the models in the best possible way, but that are also true to the brand."

In September 2012, McLaren Automotive had signed a agreement with AkzoNobel to provide paint solutions for McLaren road cars.

Since 2008, AkzoNobel has been serving Vodafone McLaren Mercedes (VMM) Formula 1 team and has been working together with VMM since 2011, to develop new paint technology for Formula 1 and other applications.

The latest partnership extension with McLaren Automotive comes after AkzoNobel extended existing supplier partnership with McLaren Racing in March.
