US-based restaurant chain Carl’s Jr has introduced new Hand-Scooped Strawberry Pop-Tarts Ice Cream Sandwich, a hand-made dessert entree.
The new Strawberry Pop-Tarts Ice Cream Sandwich features hand-scooped vanilla ice cream centered between a halved Strawberry Pop-Tart pastry, the company said.
Carl's Jr noted that the new dessert entree was initially tested in few of its locations across Southern California.
Commenting on the launch, Carl's Jr chief marketing officer Brad Haley said that the Strawberry Pop-Tarts Ice Cream Sandwich tested has witnessed good demand from consumers.
"The idea of it just seemed to capture people's imaginations and it's one of those things that just brings a smile to everyone's face when they hear about it, if not a downright swoon in some cases. So, really, we had no choice but to make it available for all Carl's Jr. customers to enjoy," added Haley.
Carl's Jr, a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants, currently has 1,391 restaurants across the world.
