Bentley Motors Creates First Edition of Continental GT

British luxury car-maker Bentley Motors has has created a first edition of the all-new Continental GT, a handcrafted grand tourer, with a completely new 6 litre W12 engine.

The new model combines all the features from the third generation Continental GT to create the most luxurious Grand Tourer ever manufactured, the company said.

The new Continental GT First Edition has a Bentley Rotating Display, which lets the driver to switch between three different fascia panels to suit the mood of the cabin.

It also features a 12.3” touchscreen which can be substituted with a classically styled instrument display, if a customer prefers.

When the engine is turned off, the third veneer-only face is displayed for uninterrupted flow of wood right across the dashboard.

Bentley offers customers four different dual veneers for the dashboard fascia. These wood options include Tamo Ash, Liquid Amber, Dark Stained Madrona and Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus, always combined with Grand Black and it is exclusive to the First Edition.

The new Continental GT First Edition is powered by a 6 litre, twin turbocharged W12 TSI engine. It gives out a maximum power of 626bhp or 467kW between 5000 and 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 664lb/ft or 900Nm between 1350 and 4500 rpm.

The vehicle can accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds or 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds. Its maximum speed is 207mph or 333km/h. This gasoline engine can give a combined fuel efficiency 23.3mpg, 12.2 liters/100km and urban fuel efficiency of 16mpg, 17.7litres /100km. It claims to have CO2 emissions of 278g/km.

The vehicle has been fitted with drilled alloy foot pedals, jewel-finish oil and filler caps along with 22” wheels available in bright paint, black and hand polished or fully polished finishes.
