AB InBev and C&C Group have expanded their partnership with new distribution agreements and extended brewing contracts for the UK and Irish markets.
Under a new distribution contract, AB InBev agreed to distribute C&C Group's cider products such as Magners Cider and others in England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
AB InBev said that it would tap on its distribution network to increase the reach of C&C Group ciders and consolidate its own current beer and cider portfolio.
As per a renewed and extended contract, C&C Group will continue to brew, kegg, bottle and cann several AB InBev products at the C&C Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow.
As part of a renewed contract, the C&C Group will distribute AB InBev’s beer products in Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
C&C Group CEO Stephen Glancey said: “This marks a new phase in our long term partnership with AB InBev, leveraging the manufacturing, distribution and portfolio strengths of our two businesses in the UK and Ireland.
“The renewal and expansion of the agreement to distribute AB InBev’s portfolio of beers throughout Scotland and Ireland is testament to the strength of our distribution networks and our leading positions and brands in these territories.”
AB InBev UK & Ireland president Jason Warner said: “The new and extended contracts will utilise AB InBev’s world class distribution network to bring people in England, Wales, Channel Island and the Isle of Man more choice in the cider category.
“This partnership will provide our customers in both the on and off-trade with a renowned, complementary portfolio including Budweiser, Corona, Stella Artois, Goose, Camden, Magners, Chaplin & Cork’s, Blackthorn and K from AB InBev.”
Since 2009, C&C Group has been brewing and distributing AB InBev’s brands like Beck’s and Stella Artois in the three countries.
