Nitto Has 5 Million Fans on Facebook and Reached The Social Media Milestone

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. announced it has 5 million fans on Facebook and reached the social media milestone less than a year after getting 3 million fans. The company will host an enthusiast car show on Dec. 7 to help celebrate its social network achievement.

Nitto says it has generated a loyal community with fan engagement that goes beyond the traditional likes, shares, and comments that exist in the social network platform.

The company attributes its success to engagement strategies such as the Nitto Ambassador Program where fans are empowered to speak on behalf of the brand; "Racing Rivals," a live multi-player mobile drag racing game; and a proprietary automotive interest blog, DrivingLine.com.

"Upholding the commitment we've made to our fans, we will continue to deliver innovative products that they demand, and provide them the opportunity to become a part of the community that drives many of our actions," says Keiko Brockel, president.

Nitto's latest fan outreach is its inaugural auto enthusiast day, which invites both online and offline brand advocates to help celebrate Nitto's social media landmark.

The enthusiast car show and meet-and-greet is scheduled for Dec. 7, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

Nitto says it created the event to express its appreciation and support for the automotive community with a fun-filled day at the track. The event has over 500 registered attendees, 150 high-performance show vehicles and several major exhibitors.

The open invite event will host numerous automotive aftermarket brands and local car clubs that support the core automotive enthusiast lifestyle.

 Highlights of the day will include:

* Car show with 21 specialty vehicle awards up for grabs;

* Live drifting and off-road vehicle demonstrations;

* Free raffles for drifting ride-alongs and sets of tires;

* Autograph signing by Formula D superstar Vaughn Gittin, Jr.;

* Vendor Ally with several major automotive exhibitors; and

* Liberty Walk vehicles from 2013 SEMA Show.
