Packaging systems manufacturer NJM Packaging has unveiled the in-line pressure sensitive labeler, Model 426 AUTOCOLT, which is ideal for solid dose pharmaceuticals. It offers the ability to handle multiple labeling and outserting tasks on one compact platform.
The new Model 426 AUTOCOLT applies wraparound or three panel labels and optional side- and/or top-serts and labels square, rectangular and round bottles at speeds up to 300 containers per minute.
Compared to traditional in-line pressure sensitive labelers, the system applies three panel labels and a side-sert at higher speeds, using the servo Oscillating Pressure Station (OPS). It also offers faster changeovers with fewer change parts, along with a smaller footprint.
The 426 AUTOCOLT handles containers from one to nine inches in height and from one to five inches in diameter and changing it to handle a new container size and shape and achieve a new label configuration, can take place in a short span of time.
The labeler accommodates RFID tagging easily and is ready for integration with track-and-trace serialization systems, while the ethernet connectivity enables it to communicate with external line monitoring systems.
According to the US-based company, within a space of only 21ft long and 11ft wide, the 426 AUTOCOLT accomplishes multiple labeling and outserting tasks.
NJM's customers include pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, beverage, chemicals, cosmetic and personal care product manufacturers as well as contract manufacturers.
