Timberland Reduced Its Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 53%

Timberland is ahead of schedule on its corporate social responsibility targets by exceeding two critical 2015 goals in 2013. Timberland reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 53% by the end of CY13, ahead of its CY15 target of 50%. Also, the company acquired 31.4% of its energy from renewable sources, ahead of a 30% goal for 2015 from a 2006 baseline.

The accelerated results, according to Timberland, are largely related to the company’s higher use of renewable energy sources in its European headquarters and global distribution centers.
