Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Has Developed Dry-Cut Hobbing Machines

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has developed dry-cut hobbing machines named GE10A which is designed to be used for machining of small-diameter gears used in vehicle automatic transmission systems.

The GE10A is a new model of its flagship GE series, and the new machine is designed to be more efficient and faster than its predecessors.

The GE10A has Radial and axial travel speed of 20,000mm per minute which is twice the speed that it's previous generation machines.

Mitsubishi has increased the cutting length to 300mm and the tool service life has been increased 1.7-fold.

The new hobbling machine can accommodate gears with diameters up to 100 millimeters, and the Mitsubishi has also used high-speed loader to reduce idle time and Workpiece changing time.
