Pragya & Megha Samor, an eminent Delhi based mother-daughter designer duo is all set to unveil their latest collection, at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 that is scheduled to take place from the 23rd of August till the 27th of August, 2013 at The Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, their show being on the 27th August , 2013 at 1:30 pm.
“SAMOR By Pragya & Megha” is a label with the mother daughter duo Pragya Samor and Megha Samor as the designers of this label. The label ‘Samor’ came into existence in the year 2009 when they debuted at the Lakme Fashion Week and since then have completed two seasons launching their collections there.
SAMOR By Pragya & Megha’s Winter/Festive ‘013 Collection is styled in modern drapes and cuts by using the sensual language of fabrics and innovative prints, a refined intimacy of detail with a vibrant game of colors and luminosity. The collection includes their trademark innovative technique of creating surface embroideries and innovative prints on their silhouettes, which has earned them uniqueness.
Where would birds be without the sky? Where else, but on the canvas of Pragya Samor ; smeared , rendered and streaked in a multitude of jeweled colors forming a vibrant trigger of exotic creatures ready for flight or just contemplating a quiet moment of solace, inspired by which Pragya & Megha Samor, are all set to unveil their latest collection. The main focus of which are the non-existing exotic birds, which the designer paints and sketches in moments of inspiration, joy, gloom or just the plain need to feel beauty.
They believe in bringing a fresh and innovative approach to designing, acting as liaison between their imagination and their client’s desire. The journey of their brand began with the self-made enterprising designer Pragya Samor who has been serving the fashion fraternity for past many years.
The designer has always had a passion for experimenting with trends, Her keenness, for creativity and innovation & challenging herself constantly setting the bar higher each time inspired her to open her own label along with her equally charged & brimming with fashion, daughter Megha Samor who passed out of NIFT Delhi with a degree in fashion design.
Megha Samor is a new generation, talented & enthusiastic designer who had a keen interest in designing from her teen years. A true artist, not restricted by limits or boundaries this dynamic designer is a passionate perfectionist.
