Hamleys and Department store chain Stockmann are looking at partnerships within further stores across Finland from 2016 onwards.
Iconic toy store Hamleys has made a move to open a new Finnish outlet in Helsinki.
Department store chain Stockmann has signed a letter of intent with the toy retailer to open a new store within its flagship Helsinki location.
The new store is poised to open in November this year on the department store’s 6th floor and will offer ‘an unprecedented selection of toys, opportunities for children to play, toy demonstrations as well as regular experiences.’
Hamleys and Stockmann are also currently looking at partnerships within further Stockmann department stores across Finland from 2016 onwards.
“We are very proud to introduce Hamleys to our customers,” said Björn Teir, director of real estate at Stockmann.
“Hamleys is a legend in its field and the new store and unique concept will bring new experiences and fun for both children and their parents.”
Stockmann began its partnership with Hamleys in summer 2014 when a Hamleys toyshop was opened in St Petersburg in Russia.
“We are very excited to be partnering with stockman to bring the magic of the Hamleys brand to the children and families of Finland,” added Alasdair Dunn, deputy CEO of Hamleys.
