Spanish designer and manufacturer of packaging systems Ulma Packaging has launched its new horizontal flow pack wrapper (HFFS) FR 305 for the bakery industry - cakes, cookies, chocolates, confectionery and sweet, and for produce packaging.
The equipment makes a three sealing pillow pack and has the advantage of being an 'intermittent' model for the packaging of fruits and vegetables.
According to the company, the wrapper, which substitutes the previous family of bottom film rotary jaw packaging machines, adapts to products with variable size, without wasting wrapping film and also packages loose products without tray.
Featuring a cantilever design that makes cleaning and sanitizing easier, the FR 305 also has better flexibility for the different format changeovers.
The machine claims to fulfill the needs of customers who want to pack irregular products or products that cannot be transported easily.
