Go Max Go Foods Takes a Precautionary Measure of Voluntarily Withdrawing Vegan Candy Bar

US-based Go Max Go Foods is taking a precautionary measure of voluntarily withdrawing a limited quantity of vegan candy bar products as they may contain trace amounts of dairy but feature 'dairy-free' on the front label.

The products being recalled include Snap! 1.75oz, Cleo's 1.5oz., Jokerz 2.1oz., Twilight 2.1oz., Buccaneer 2oz., Mahalo 2oz. And Thumbs Up 1.3oz. These products bear UPC codes 899033 002057, 899033 002040, 899033 002002, 899033 002019, 899033 002026, 899033 002033 and 899033 002064 respectively.

These products were distributed across the nation in retail stores.

The products are manufactured on shared equipment and in shared facilities where trace amounts of dairy may be present due to cross contact, according to the company.

There have been no illnesses associated with the withdrawn products. No other Go Max Go Foods products are affected by this voluntary recall; only products that bear the term 'dairy-free' on the front label are affected.

Customers who have purchased any of the above listed vegan candy bars and those intolerant to milk are advised to return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
