Fizzics Launches New Portable Draft-Beer System

New Jersey-based technology firm Fizzics Group has introduced a new portable draft-beer system.

The system, dubbed Waytap, incorporates Fizzics Micro-Foam Technology. It is designed to improve the flavor of any canned or bottled beer.

The Micro-Foam technology uses sound waves to convert a beer’s natural carbonation into densely compacted, uniform bubbles which enrich the aroma, flavour and the taste of the beer.

Fizzics claims that the product is easy to use and portable and it provides a premium traproom experience anywhere.

Waytap also introduces a new industrial design developed in partnership with design and strategy company, frog.

Fizzics claims that the product has been developed by taking in inputs from familiar experiences at social gatherings in bar and from friends and family.

Fizzics co-founder and CEO Philip Petracca said:  "At the end of the day, we're a team of engineers and technologists who really love beer. We wanted to use technology to give people a whole new beer-drinking experience, help people explore beer in a new way, and to elevate the experiences shared around beer.

“Our first Fizzics device enabled us to get this technology into the hands of a really amazing community of beer lovers, and the enthusiastic support and feedback has been instrumental in helping us further refine the Waytap experience."

Waytap from Fizzics is now available at Kickstarter for preorder at price of $130.
