Sino Agro Food, an organic food company with subsidiaries operating in China, has reported that its net revenues increased by 167% to $138.6m for the fiscal year 2012, compared with $51m in the previous year.
The company's net income increased by 268% to $57.5m, compared with $15m in the earlier year.
Sino Agro noted that the total revenues from fishery operations increased $59m or 227% from $26m in 2011 to $86m in 2012, while the revenue from beef decreased by $957,898 or 6.31%, to $14m for the year ended 31 December 2012 from $15m for the year ended 31 December 2011.
The overall growth of the company was made possible from economies of scale through expanding its full wholesale operations and by vertical integration through initiating distribution, marketing, and retail operations.
