Mazda Will Recall About 15,000 Units of Its Mazda6 Vehicles

Japanese carmaker Mazda will recall about 15,000 units of its Mazda6 vehicles across the globe, over an overheating of capacitor.

Mazda Australia has already started the process of recalling about 15,31 Mazda6 vehicles to rectify a potential quality issue with the vehicle's electrical system.

A faulty capacitor in the DC/ DC convertor that is located under the passenger seat has prompted the recall due to risk of catching fire on being overheated.

The capacitor is a part of i-Eloop circuit that recovers energy and uses it to run air-conditioning and other cabin functions.

The company is expected to replace the affected parts under the recall, which is expected to start in April 2013.
