AATCC student members are invited to showcase their design talents to win cash, prizes, and recognition by participating in the 2014 “Boardwalk” Concept 2 Consumer Student Design Competition.

The 2014 “Boardwalk” themed competition will challenge students to create a swimwear collection for an 18 to 30 year old target consumer group, either male or female. Collections can include board shorts, swimsuits, poolside cover-ups, and other suitable beachwear. Designers are to select a color palette chosen from PantoneView Colour Planner Summer 2014.

To participate, students must be members of AATCC. Students who are not currently members of an AATCC student chapter can join online. Students can enter the contest individually or work in teams. AATCC has also published a handy competition entry checklist to help guide students through the contest steps. Complete guidelines for the contest are also available online.

First place earns US$1,000, a Pantone Cotton Passport, and a US$100 Spoonflower gift certificate. Second place winner(s) receive US$750, a Pantone Cotton Passport, and a US$100 Spoonflower gift certificate. There are also two Honorable Mentions, each awarding US$100 and a US$50 Spoonflower gift certificate.
