Software company SAP has teamed up to Shell and Volkswagen to create a co-innovation pilot program to investigate the interaction of connected vehicles with the world around them.
It is an ongoing program in Hannover, Germany which is expected to lay the foundations for integrated system for connected fueling along with several other technologies.
The companies aim to deliver drivers a range of cloud-based solution that will be designed to save time of the drivers and will be capable of delivering new offerings through connected vehicles, leveraging expertise of each companies.
SAP Products & Innovation executive board member Bernd Leukert said: "We believe the combination of simplicity, functionality and innovation is needed to create a seamless consumer experience. No company alone can deliver such an end-to-end experience."
