Subaru Automobiles Has Launched WRX Series Named WRX STI

Subaru Automobiles has launched WRX series named WRX STI in the Japanese market, months after it launched the car in other markets.

The car is based on the concept of "Pure Power in Your Control" which is aimed at maximizing the potential of the turbo Boxer engine and letting drivers steer the vehicle according to their choice.

WRX STI features 2.0-liter Horizontally-Opposed turbo engine that can produce produces 304 horsepower at 6,400rmp, and 422 Nm torque at 4,400 rmp.

The cars body and chassis has been designed to provide all-wheel-drive sports performance, and it features Driver's Control Center Differential (DCCD) system that allows drivers to select center differential control characteristics depending upon the condition of the road.

Subaru has also added Multi-mode Active Torque Vectoring and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) for better driving experience under different conditions.

WRX STI is made using high tensile steel plating which helps to reduce the overall weight and yet provide a strong body, and Subaru has used collision-absorbing structure to the engine compartment side bulkhead and hood.

Subaru has used nose cone design with the bottom end of the A-Pillar extended by 200mm towards the front, to provide the car with a sporty look.

On the interior, the seater features multi-function display with a boost pressure display screen and plenty of head and leg room for a comfortable ride.
