Clear Lam Packaging is set to introduce its flexible, stackable and reclosable packaging solution PrimaPak Packaging System at Interpack in Düsseldorf, Germany from 8 to 14 May 2014.
Using an Ilapak machine platform, the company has developed the PrimaPak vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) technology.
The technology will be deployed to produce a cubed package with a reclosable feature from proprietary rollstock, while no preforms or fitments are used.
The packaging, designed as a replacement for rigid cans, bottles, jars, trays and select flexible packaging, was produced on Ilapak's Vegatronic 2000 platform after being modified with Clear Lam's PrimaPak equipment interface.
Clear Lam Packaging president and CEO James Sanfilippo said the technology reduces impact on the environment throughout the supply chain.
