Biopolymers supplier NatureWorks has announced the location of its first Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Bangkok.
NatureWorks president and CEO Marc Verbruggen said in many parts of Asia, especially China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan, the company's biopolymer Ingeo is already helping brand owners reduce the carbon footprint of their plastic and fiber products.
"The opening of our first Asian headquarters is an important move as we add support for current customers and introduce Ingeo to many more," Verbruggen said.
In a bid to improve support of Ingeo customers throughout the region and to expand business, the company has also expanded its team of senior commercial, managerial and technical personnel.
NatureWorks is jointly owned by chemical producer in Thailand PTT Global Chemical and Cargill, an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial, and industrial products and services.
