5 Spanish Firms Will Make Their Presence Felt in The Hong Kong World Boutique

Five Spanish apparel firms would be making their presence felt at the next edition of the Hong Kong World Boutique, scheduled to be held parallel to the Hong Kong Fashion Week 2014, from January 13 to 16, at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Center.

The Spanish participation at the World Boutique fair is organized by the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) in order to increase presence of Spanish apparel products at international fairs, by offering them subsidy of 35 percent for participating in the fair.

The five Spanish firms to participate at the event and showcase their products are innerwear brand Punto Blanco, clothing firm T.ba, readymade garment manufacturer Factor Moda, homewear and loungewear producer Massana and knitwear manufacturing group Texone.

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the World Boutique 2014 fair, which will run parallel to the Hong Kong Fashion Week, is a fashion event dedicated to promoting designers’ collection and brand labels around the world.

Among the various highlights of the World Boutique show is the ‘Fashion Extravaganza’ which would bring four internationally renowned designers to showcase their collections on the runway, including Spanish designer Amaya Arzuaga from Madrid. Other designers showing their creations at the Fashion Extravaganza are Calla Haynes based in Paris, Henry Lau from Hong Kong, and Masha Ma of W Hotels Worldwide, who is based in Paris and Shanghai.

HKTDC would also be organizing the ‘Hong Kong Young Designers Contest’ during the World Boutique show, where upcoming designers from the country would be given an opportunity to present their designs.
