Volkswagen has reported 11.9% rise in its sales to 468,300 vehicles in July 2012, compared to 418,600 vehicles it sold during same period in 2011.
For the first seven months of 2012, the company's sales increased 10.4% to 3.26 million vehicles.
In China, Volkswagen sold 1.14 million cars for the first seven months of 2012, representing an increase of 15.2%.
Sales in western Europe, excluding Germany, declined 5% as the company delivered 528,200 units for the first seven months of 2012, compared with 556,200 in the same period previous year.
Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 361,400 vehicles to customers in the home market of Germany.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the brand grew deliveries 15.1% in the period to July, handing over 1.27 million units.
Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand board member for sales and marketing Christian Klingler said, "The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand has grown global deliveries further despite the continued difficult market situation, above all in Western Europe."
