Limagrain Cereales Ingredients Introduces Toasted Corn Flour

Limagrain Cereales Ingredients (LCI) has launched its toasted corn flour to meet the growing needs of the industry for natural ingredients full of flavour (Clean Label).

As the latest addition to the "Taste & Colour" range, this flour was developed drawing on Limagrain varieties, and toasted using new technologies that are specific to LCI.

With its yellow/beige colour and toasted, hazelnut flavour, toasted corn flour can be used in many applications, including bread-making products (bread and Viennese pastries), laminated doughs, snacks (tortilla chips), dairy products and breadcrumbs.

Depending on the desired intensity of the flavour, the flour, also available in a Gluten Free version, can be reworked using different levels of toasting.

"For over 30 years, we have invested not only to create the cereal varieties of tomorrow, but also to develop our cereal processing tools and technology. The use of milling, extraction of hominies, grinding, debacterization, thermal processing, extrusion and mixing processes, as well as a toasting tool in the past year, all enable LCI to meet specific requests for innovative and functional ingredients," explained Patricia Panel, Head of Marketing.
