EPI Battled a Slight DIP in Revenues From Its Furniture and Furniture Parts Division

The French company Espace Production International (EPI) battled a slight dip in revenues from its furniture and furniture parts division in the second quarter of 2012. On the other hand, the laminate flooring division managed to continue down a much rosier path, albeit at a slightly slower pace. Turnover from furniture operations was 2% lower than the same time frame last year at €32.8m between April and June 2012. This came after a 15.8% growth in full-year turnover in 2011 and a 11.4% improvement in the first three months of this year. EPI blamed this turn of events on economic factors in all sales markets. Price wars are also heating up as demand slows.
