Sauder Woodworking Expanded Its Showroom at 220 Elm by 5,500 Square Feet

RTA specialist Sauder Woodworking has expanded its showroom at 220 Elm here by 5,500 square feet in time for the April 20-25 High Point Market.

The expansion gives Sauder and sister company Progressive Furniture nearly 30,000 square feet, officials said.

Sauder has occupied the 220 Elm space since April 2001 and since has used the space to show its line of home office, home entertainment and bedroom furniture. Progressive has occupied about 60% of this space since April 2008.

The company said the expansion and renovation of the space was designed by Diane K. Troum Inc. of Greensboro, N.C. It includes a new interior lobby off the building escalators and also features six conference rooms and an 80-seat bistro that will serve breakfast and lunch during market.

The space also has expanded bandwidth, which will offer visitors full wireless coverage in the showroom as well as wireless video service in every conference room.

"This space addition is thoughtfully designed to enhance our ability to exhibit the growing Sauder furniture line in lively at-home and retail environments," Kevin Sauder, president and CEO, said in a statement. "It also provides more room for Progressive Furniture to expand its accent and dining displays, while still giving ample room to host dealer traffic and meetings."
