Ossie Clark, a name synonymous with cutting edge fashion in the late sixties and seventies, is set to reappear on the fashion scene – only at Debenhams.
Re-created and reinvented, the Ossie Clark London label will go into 45 Debenhams stores across the UK in February 2013, and on Debenhams.com.
Unveiled to fashion press for the first time this week at The Proud Gallery on King's Road, Chelsea – 'Ossie's heartland' – the range is infused with the designer's free spirit and brought up-to-date by the label's modern-day designer, Nicholas Georgiou.
Many items within the collection have been created from original 1970's iconic vintage designs by Ossie Clark, with the designer's famous statement prints revived with flattering drapery and fluidly feminine silhouettes. The collection mixes reverence and retro glamour with a dash of radicalism. Signature plunge necks, asymmetric cuts and flowing sleeves for the modern woman make up the collection, with day-to-night pieces in flattering monochrome and touches of statement colour.
The latest fabulous addition to our portfolio of big names, Ossie Clark will be in good company, with our Designers at Debenhams and Edition collective already seeing Debenhams soar in the style stakes.
