New Belgium Brewing, Ben & Jerry's Partner to Create New Ice Cream Inspired Beer

New Belgium Brewing and Ben & Jerry's are working together again to create a new ice cream inspired beer.

The new Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale is due to be released this fall.

The companies also guarantee that $50,000 of the proceeds will go towards climate change awareness group Protect Our Winters (POW).

Last year, the companies teamed up for Salted Caramel Brownie Ale.

New Belgium director of sustainability Jenn Vervier said: "We are excited to be partnering once again with the good folks at Ben & Jerry's and POW.

"The beer in development tastes amazing and we look forward to talking about climate change and climate action."

Ben & Jerry's senior global marketing manager Jay Curley said: "Working with New Belgium Brewing and Protect our Winters to be able to impact climate was a highlight of 2015, and so, we're doing it again.

"This new beer is delicious and unique and the issue of climate change is still increasingly urgent."

New Belgium Brewing is a craft brewery situated in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was opened in 1991 by Jeff Lebesch and Kim Jordan.

US-based Ben & Jerry's manufactures ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet.
