Internet Plus Introduced Into Luoyang's Restaurants and Hotels

Luoyang has introduced the Internet Plus mode to its hotels and restaurants. For this year's Peony Cultural Festival, some restaurants began using O2O strategies. O2O means "online to offline" strategies to encourage users who seek information online to physically go to a business establishment.

In one O2O restaurant recently opened in the Jianxi District, Luoyang, there is an exclusive QR code label on each table, which customers can scan with their WeChat app on their mobile phones to order a meal, call for assistance or pay the bill.

One hotel on Wangcheng Road boasts an advanced online communication platform. By scanning the QR code on the lobby screen, tourists can have an chat online with other guests. The wireless communication system in the rooms allows for smart phone pictures and videos to be displayed on the TV screens.

An official from the Luoyang Tourism Agency said that Luoyang would create more policies and provide more funding to support the development of tourism industry e-services.
