Actega DS has registered a FoodSafe brand for sealant compounds and closures which it will be demonstrating at Interpack 2014.
FoodSafefe stands for low-migration (falls short of the global migration limits) and certification for direct contact with food – only sealant compounds and closures which satisfy these features simultaneously are awarded the FoodSafe seal.
Now ready for market, free of PVC and plasticizers, the Svelon 830 LG (Low Gauge) sealant compound is supplied as granulate to closure manufacturers.
The new sealant compound for lightweight crown corks displays similar properties to Provalin – the sealant compound free of PVC and phthalates for metal vacuum closures.
Actega DS will be on stand 12A at Interpack 2014.
