The Textile Association (India) Has Elected New Office Bearers

The Textile Association (India) has elected new office bearers for the term 2014-2015 during their Governing Council Meeting held on 05-07-2014 at Ahmedabad.

During the Governing Council Meeting Mr. D.R. Mehta welcomed and thanked all the present G.C. Members and he shared his views about the progress and activities carried out during his tenure of National President of TAI.

Also he expressed the future activities of TAI for scaling new heights globally. After the discussion on Meeting Agenda, the election of President and Vice President was carried out. Mr. Arvind Sinha and Dr. Anil Gupta were the candidates for the post of President and Mr. K.D. Sanghvi was the only candidate for the post of Vice president.

Mr. Arvind Sinha currently Chief Advisor and CEO of Business Advisors Group which is a leading sourcing company for Relief Supplies globally and also the content creator and provider for critical studies and management issues was elected President by majority votes. 

Mr. K.D. Sanghvi  who currently trades in yarn and has worked as General Manager in mills under NTC (Maharashtra) like Finlay, New City, Podar was elected unopposed as Vice President.

Mr. V.D. Zope – presently a freelance management consultant and who in previous years worked as Officer in charge with NTC Ltd. (Western Region) was elected as Chairman

Mr. Haresh B. Parekh who has served in various reputed textile houses like Mafatlal Group, Standard Group, Orkay Silk Mills, etc was elected as Hon. Gen. Secretary.

Looking to the initiative taken by Mr. D.R. Mehta, Immediate Past President, for the growth and development of TAI, the Governing Council appreciated his meticulous services rendered by him and honoured him as President Emeritus.
