The Trend in German Cotton Market of a Decline Continued Into The Current Week

The trend observed in the German cotton market in the previous week of a decline in demand, continued into the current week too.

In the medium staple range, interest was focussed primarily on standard as well as European qualities for near-by dates and also up to the first quarter of 2015.

However, due to diverging prices in the cotton market, no contracts were closed on these varieties during the week.

During the reporting week, long staple range of cotton too registered a relatively calm week as well.

In the week, contracts in medium staple cotton were concluded for; Brazilian cotton for prompt and up to the first quarter of 2015 and in US EMOT for prompt delivery.

In long and extra-long staple cotton variety, contracts were signed for Spanish ELS and Israel Acalpi for prompt and up to the fourth quarter of 2014.
