The Number of Visitors to New Zealand During Vacation in Oct Increased 14%

The number of visitors to New Zealand during vacation in Oct increased 14% on year to 9,8000 due to the holiday in Oct, according to latest data released by Statistics New Zealand. In Oct., inbound tourist arrivals increased 8% on year to 210,000. The increasing tourists mainly come from China, Austrilia and America.

The data released at the same time by New Zealand Ministry of Commerce, DOLE and Ministry of Science and Innovation said that the consumption of global tourist kept increasing, which contains Chinese tourists achieved a 33% growth in consumption to a new record $0.979 billion by Sep. of this year.

Besides, consumption of tourists from America increased significantly to $0.748 billion, up 33%; British tourists' increased 23% and Austrilian tourists down 11%.
