According to a statement issued by AEPC’s Fashion India, the event's main objective is to promote synergy between importers and international buyers who choose India as a preferred destination for sourcing garments.

The event would have nearly 500 Brazilian businessmen who would be negotiating with over 13 Indian firms operating in the areas of clothing, décor, bed, bath and more.

AEPC chairman Sudhir Sekhri said the main goal behind organizing the event is to increase mutual cooperation in trade between the two countries as well as promoting the export market for garments and accessories from India.

The two-day business roundtable is an opportunity for importers, traders, distributors and firms interested in outsourcing to exchange information, conduct new business and invest in the Indian market, he added.

Besides Sao Paolo, the business fashion rounds have been held successfully in the Colombian city of Bogota and New York City in US.

The Indian firms would be displaying various products such as womenswear, menswear, kidswear, casual wear, swimwear, meshes, fabrics, embroidery and accessories.

According to AEPC, India is the third largest supplier of clothing to Brazil, after China and Bangladesh
